People often ask where do you get your ideas? I get ideas, or inspiration, everywhere: a seed pod, a line from a book, a plastic toy, memories from childhood, architecture, my microscope, or the beauty of a certain shade of yellow. Similarly, many media, both traditional and non, interest me; the medium is integral and metaphorical to the work. I am particularly attracted to the ephemeral and fragile so recently, I have been working in paper, thread, and lost and broken things. I am especially interested in how these things connect and what it means to mend.
